Teaching about alcohol

What are their concerns?

Young people are often very concerned about how their behaviour compares to that of their peers and what their peers think of them.

  • Only half (51%) agreed they ‘would feel confident about saying no to drinking alcohol if offered by friends’.
  • Almost a third (28%) agreed that ‘if your friends decided to drink alcohol it would be difficult not to join in’.
