What do young people know and think about alcohol?
All your students will have some knowledge or experience of drinking alcohol already.
A survey of 11-16 year olds was conducted as part of the pilot research for this website*. Almost two thirds (65%) of respondents said they had ‘ever’ had an alcoholic drink.
The 35% who report never having tried alcohol themselves will all have seen familiy members, friends, members of the public or people on TV and in films drinking it.
