Talk about alcohol

Parents

What if...?

You and your partner disagree at a family occasion about whether or not your 11 year-old daughter should be allowed to taste some wine.
What do you do?
Your 12 year-old son has been asked to a sleep-over at a friend's house. The last time he went, he was anxious for several days afterwards. He has admitted there was some alcohol and that he had a few sips, but he refused to have more even though he was teased by his friends. He is torn between going to the sleep-over and being taunted, or not going and feeling left out.
What do you say?
You notice the level of the spirits in your cupboard is low. You suspect your 13 year-old daughter is drinking them behind your back. You don't want to accuse her wrongly because your relationship is good; but you're really worried.
How do you react?
